Frequently Asked Questions

We will meet at the boat ramp of the lake we have agreed upon or at Frying Pan Anglers in Basalt for all Ruedi Reservoir Adventures at the specific time we have agreed upon on the day of the trip and I will give a short safety briefing before we start fishing. Most parks require a daily entrance fee. 

A valid Colorado fishing license. Everyone that fishes in Colorado must obtain at least a 1-day fishing license. Please follow this link to obtain a fishing license prior to your trip. 

Bring snacks/beverages - NO ALCOHOL!

Appropriate clothing based on the current weather conditions during the trip (ask your guide).

A cooler with ice if you plan on keeping any fish.

Hat, sunglasses and/or sun screen.

And most importantly...A GREAT ATTITUDE! 

 We practice selective harvest. We will take measurements and pictures but all species of the following dimensions will be released to grow and fight another day! This is one of the best ways to ensure a healthy population of species and trophy class fish.

Northern Pike - 26" and greater released

Tiger Muskie - All released

Lake Trout - 24" and greater released

Smallmouth - 16" and greater released

Largemouth Bass - 18" and greater released

Walleye - 22" and greater released

Brown Trout - 20" and greater released

One Fully Rigged Pedal Kayak/Person

All Fishing gear such as rods, reels, lures and nets

I think Bill Dance started it years ago but it's really nothing more than me being goofy before letting the fish go. It's my way of saying thank you for biting my lure and giving me a good fight.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Cancellations prior to a 14-day notice will receive a full refund. Cancelations within the 14 day period will not receive a refund but we will gladly use your deposit towards a reschedule. Same day no shows will receive no refund or deposit credit. The weather in Colorado’s high country can be unpredictable, therefore, if conditions are unsafe and we must cancel, a full refund or reschedule is redeemable.”
